About Laura Yu, LMFT, LPCC, Teen + Family Therapist
I specialize in helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. I work with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, offering a safe space to explore and heal. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience. I have extensive experience working with children, teens and adults through work in schools as well as in hospital settings
In my work I rely on child development and strength-based approaches to promote reflection, perspective and self-agency in children and teens. I draw from a blend of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I believe in tailoring sessions to meet your specific needs, empowering you to develop the skills and insights necessary for lasting change.
