Nathan Sweasey, LCSW
I specialize in helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. I work with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, offering a safe space to explore and heal. My approach is rooted in empathy, In a world that often focuses on what’s “wrong,” I focus on what’s already working, and help clients build on those internal resources to move through pain, uncertainty, and change.
I specialize in working with adults and teenagers navigating trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression. My approach is relational, person-centered, and trauma-informed.
Throughout my career I have helped clients navigate relationships: with themselves, a partner, their family, or their community. This can look like broken trust, feelings of betrayal, feeling disconnected, or a story about yourself that is no longer serving you. Sometimes we can get stuck in patterns that feel overwhelming.
I have found that therapy can be a space where we get to look at our patterns, share the weight that we carry, and ‘practice’ different ways of relating, which can grow our ability to connect with others in new ways outside of session.
This can be challenging (but also exciting!), and open up new possibilities for living.
I enjoy helping my clients develop a more clear understanding of themselves, their values, and their context. It doesn’t always have to be heavy. There can be joy in getting to know ourselves.
